We’re currently preparing for the third installment of a short series on “Love,” to be presented at College Hill Church of Christ next Sunday. As it turns out, the apostle Paul (whom I am plagiarizing heavily) had more to say about what love is NOT than about what it is. Perhaps the congregation at Corinth was suffering through some of the same misunderstandings as their 21st century brothers and sisters. A casual reading of 1st Corinthians 13 shows a list of nine negative (love is not) maladies compared to nine positive (love is, or love does) qualities.
