When you can't wait for the taste of summer, you'll find that perfect cucumber or tomato in a garden in the middle of your hometown – and it's free. Of course you can help plant the vegetables, weed around them, water, pick ....
Last week, Kiowa District Hospital agreed to partner with the Barber County KSU Extension for a community garden project. Extension Agent Robin Eubanks-Callis and Walinda Arnett, extension nutrition educator, met Feb. 28 with the hospital board, personnel and members of the public interested in helping make the garden a reality in Kiowa.
