SAU Men's Track and Field picked first in GAC Coaches Poll

Russellville, Ark. – The Great American Conference released their preseason coaches' poll this afternoon, and the SAU Men's Track and Field team, the defending conference champions, came in at the top spot.

The Muleriders received 34 points and four of the seven first place votes. Oklahoma Baptist came in at second, one point and one first place vote behind the Muleriders with 33 points and three first-place votes.

Harding received 25 points; Oklahoma Christian and Rogers State both received 18 points; East Central received 12 points; and, Southern Nazarene rounds out the poll in seventh with seven points.

The Muleriders have competed twice in the outdoor season, winning five events each at the Marc Randle Classic and the UCA Spring Opener.

The Muleriders are in action this weekend in the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis.
