Four Burlington seniors recently had the opportunity to serve as Senate pages in the Oklahoma Senate under Sen. Roland Pedersen.

During their time at the State Capitol, the pages are kept busy working for the entire Senate. Throughout the day, they are called to run errands, retrieve paperwork, perform Senate roll call and serve on the Senate floor during session.

The pages also participate in their own mock legislation where they learn the process of how bills are made, have the opportunity to choose a bill and present it for a vote. Up to 14 pages serve during the week while they are in sess...
