Engineers hired, fly in date set

The Alva Airport Commission received six responses when they sent out requests for qualifications for an engineering consultant. A selection committee composed looked at the six and chose CEC of Oklahoma City. Board members Paul Kinzie and Kelly Parker as well as City Business Manager Joe Don Dunham comprised the committee. They said this firm had good reports from other airports.

Before a vote, Toby Baker and Craig Boyle from CEC answered questions and discussed airport projects. "You guys have done a lot in recent years," said Baker. He said the main problem he noticed was a need for pavemen...
