SE Baseball Powers Past Patriots, 16-11

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern used an eight-run fifth inning outburst to power its way to a 16-11 victory over Texas-Tyler in a midweek matchup on Tuesday at The Ballpark in Durant.

The win moves the Savage Storm record to 13-14 overall on the season heading back into conference play on the weekend with a three-game series against Ouachita Baptist on March 29-30 in Arkadelphia, Ark.

SE collected 12 hits on the afternoon and took advantage of nine walks to plate its 16 runs.

Slayde Ortiz, Austin Ferguson, Caleb Dubler, and Chris Eusay each posted a pair of hits, while four others had one apiece....
