A bigger, better battle of bulls; Alva's Bull Battle event expands

Next weekend, the Woods County Fairgrounds in Alva will host the fourth annual Bull Battle, opening its doors at 4 p.m. on Friday. Bull Riders, Inc. (BRI), an Oklahoma-based sanctioning organization, will showcase bull riders competing for $7,500 in added money and points toward the 2019 year. This will be the biggest event of the year for BRI since their finals back in January. These riders will begin their competition at 7:30 p.m. each night. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for 12 and under, and free for 5 and under.
