Norton named GAC Pitcher of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - After contributing 8.0 innings to the team-shutout win over Henderson State, junior Arkansas Tech pitcher Drake Norton has been named the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon. Norton has now won the conference weekly award twice.
Norton, a Yukon, Okla. native, put together a great pitching performance in the Wonder Boys' mid-week contest with Henderson State, allowing just three hits, while throwing 8.0 shutout innings. Norton also struck out a season-high ten batters in Tech's 6-0 win over the Reddies. Norton's effor...
