Reddies Fall Just Short at No. 14 Delta State

CLEVELAND, Miss. — Henderson State pushed No. 14 Delta State to the brink on Tuesday night at its home field, but the Statesmen outlasted the Reddies late and held on for a 9-8 win.
It was the Reddies (17-16) who got a leg up early in a 1-1 game when they scored three runs in the second inning on a wild pitch, an RBI single from Brandon Pollock, and a throwing error to take a 4-1 lead.
