Body of Oklahoma construction worker found in Cimarron River

MANNFORD, Okla. (AP) — The body of a missing construction worker has been recovered from the Cimarron River.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say the body of 36-year-old Edwardo Garcia of Tulsa was recovered at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday in Creek County.

The patrol says Garcia was operating a front-end loader for Manhattan Road & Bridge when he disappeared about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers say Garcia was moving rock for a makeshift roadway into the river near a bridge construction site when he backed off the roadway into the water and did not resurface.
