Industrial hemp-growing prompts local interest

Avard Regional Rail Park Authority board members Stan Bixler, Ed Sutter and Bob Firth met Tuesday night without the company of fellow members Todd Holder and Allan Poe. It was enough to meet a quorum and the board got started on the agenda.

They approved the minutes from last month's meeting and moved on to discuss the finance report. Because Holder wasn't present, Woods County Economic Development Commission (WCEDC) Executive Director Sonja Williams stepped in to go over the financials.
