OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Police in Oklahoma City say a man who walked away from the Oklahoma County Jail is suspected of stealing an 86-year-old woman's car and running over her hands as he drove away.

Sgt. Gary Knight said Thursday that 23-year-old trustee Paul Joshua Thompson walked away from the jail on Saturday while performing chores around the jail. A short time later, he's suspected of stealing the woman's car in a convenience store parking lot.

Police say Thompson asked the woman for a ride before jumping into the driver's seat and taking off. The woman tried to hold on to the car but fell...
