DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern finished off a series sweep of Southern Nazarene in walk-off fashion as Colton Buckner connected on an eight-inning solo homer to win the finale 2-1 after the Storm cruised to an 8-3 victory in Monday's opener at Mike Metheny Field.

The sweep moves the Savage Storm to 18-18 overall on the year and 11-13 in Great American Conference play heading into a non-conference midweek matchup against Central Oklahoma at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon at Mike Metheny Field.

Drew Bolin picked up a pair of hits to lead the Storm, while Caleb Dubler, Austin Ferguson, Colton Buckner, Davis Jenks, Luke Thomas, and Harrison Whitworth each added a hit.

Southeastern exploded for seven runs in the top of the first inning in game one, sending 12 hitters to the plate with nine of them reaching in-a-row during the inning.

A Jenks RBI single got SE on the board and two batters later Thomas connected on a two-run double and was followed by a two-run Whitworth single to push the lead to 5-0.

Dubler would drive in a pair of runs later in the inning with a single through the left side to make the lead 7-0.

SE would allow an unearned run in each of the fifth and seventh innings and a final run in the top of the ninth to make the final score 8-3.

The nightcap needed bonus baseball to settle the winner as a Colton Buckner homer in the bottom of the eighth inning proved to be the difference in a 2-1 pitcher's duel.

SNU took a 1-0 lead with an unearned run in the top of the third.

Southeastern responded in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Slayde Ortiz that plated Ferguson to tie the game at 1-1.
