Alva Review-Courier -

The Woods County 4-H Fashion Revue and Impressive Dress Contest was held Sunday, April 7, 2019, at the Waynoka Multipurpose Building. Parents, grandparents and siblings of 4-H participants were present to watch as 4-H members modeled their garments. The judges for the event were Mary and Sherry Shklar. Special thanks to Waynoka Schools for hosting the event.

The Fashion Revue Contest consisted of garments sewn by the Intermediate level 4-H member. The Impressive Dress portion of the contest consisted of ready-to-wear casual garments, active sportswear, dress wear and formal wear. This contest helps 4-H members select garments for specific occasions and to develop self-confidence and poise.

The contest results are as follows:

Senior Division Class I

Girls Casual Wear – Blue Ribbons: Jarin Shirley and Jaydan Coffman from Alva, and TamLynn Link from Freedom. Champion: TamLynn Link; Reserve Champion: Jaydan Coffman.

Boys Casual Wear – Blue Ribbons: Gavin Cook and Austin Rankin from Waynoka. Champion: Austin Rankin; Reserve Champion: Gavin Cook.

Overall Casual Wear – Champion: Austin Rankin of Waynoka; Reserve Champion: TamLynn Link from Freedom.

Junior Division Class I

Girls Casual Wear – Blue Ribbons: Whitney Hanks and Kapri Like of Waynoka, Jansen Shirley and Katelee Martin of Alva. Champion: Whitney Hanks; Reserve Champion: Jansen Shirley.
