Goodrich sets record mark; Gourley earns all-conference on day two of GAC meet

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Having a good showing at the first ever conference outdoor meet is always a goal for a new or relaunched program.

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University track and field did more than that during the first two days of the Great American Conference Outdoor Championships, currently going on at Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee.

Northwestern’s performances were highlighted by a championship mark in the javelin by junior transfer Zarin Goodrich. The Iowa native threw a distance of 40.02 meters to shatter the previous GAC Outdoor Championship meet record by nearly two meters, b...
