Students receive CPR training

Burlington juniors Lauren Lagos, Gabe Stewart, Stanley Klippenstein, Anna Motycka and Hailey Dotson get hands-on experience with the CPR training models.

Burlington juniors recently received their required cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) instruction.

Northwest Technology Center Health Careers Certification Instructor Brooke Meyer conducted the class for Burlington students who had not yet received the state-mandated instruction, which also included students from other area schools. According to the Dustin Rhodes and Lindsay Steed CPR Training Act, the state of Oklahoma requires that its students receive hands-on CPR training and awareness of an automated external defibrillator in order to graduate....
