Dirden resigns; accepts assistant coaching position at NCAA Division I Institution

Northwestern Oklahoma State University head men’s basketball coach Shawn Dirden has resigned his position to become an assistant coach at a NCAA Division I institution, Brad Franz, director of athletics announced Wednesday.
During his three seasons as the head coach of the Rangers, Dirden compiled a 42-42 overall record. Dirden led the Rangers to a 22-7 campaign in 2017-18, the fifth best season in Northwestern basketball history.
