Oklahoma's governor, 'the Kev,' has made it a hundred days already

April 28, 2019

He was on several TV channels telling how slow the changes he wants to make are going. He wants to make Oklahoma a Top 10 state. Sadly, we already are in some categories. Good luck.

OG&E wants a major rate increase, AGAIN! One corporation commission member wants to get a rate decrease. I am pretty sure when the smoke clears the citizens of Oklahoma will take it in the shorts again.

I liked Marione's Wednesday story about clutter and trying to clean it up. Getting ready to clean up so your heirs won't have so much to deal with seems good. In my case I have a problem. If I go first I need to clean up and sell out for Cleo's sake. However, if she goes first, I will not need to clean up so much. The kids need to have as much fun getting rid of it as I had collecting all this neat stuff.

Many years ago I found a book called "Clutter's Last Stand." It had many great ideas. Not only did it show material clutter clean up but how to unclutter your mind. I read it through and was thinking about implementing some of the ideas it held. My brother Jack wanted to read it so I loaned it to him. This was about 20 years ago and unfortunately he sat some clutter on top of it and has never found it to return to me. I never got another copy partially because it was easier to stack the clutter rather than clean it up.

Wednesday was Dad's trip back to Dr. Keller's office for the two-week knee checkup. It is amazing that a 90-year-old guy heals like he is 20 but Dad is that guy. Dr. Keller told him to do whatever he wanted because his knee was good to go. There may be a casino in our near future.

Cleo doesn't get out a lot so when she goes to Wal-Mart with me it is cool. She gets to see lots of people to visit with and many ways to spend my money I never thought about. The other day she got ready to put the grocery list in her pocket when a man said, "That's my list!" She said okay and handed him the list. He started reading down it and exclaimed, "Duct tape and a shovel. We all know what you’re going to do!" I did check for the shovel because it was not on the original list.

One of the good guys passed away this week. For 44 years Larry Thorne was the director of the Alva Public Library. I would see him lots of different places and his serious look would always turn to a smile. Several of my friends have passed away recently. I wish it wasn't so but that is life.

In the "that's strange" category, a female amateur MMA fighter was in a photo shoot at a Rio de Janeiro beach when a man exposed himself. The lady fighter told the man to cover up and go away. He hit her and when he didn't leave she beat the crap out of him until he did run away.
