3.3 magnitude earthquake rattles parts of northern Oklahoma

 


MEDFORD, Okla. (AP) — No injuries have been reported following a 3.3 magnitude earthquake in northern Oklahoma.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the temblor was recorded shortly before midnight Monday about 8 miles (13 kilometers) south-southeast of Medford, about 93 miles (150 kilometers) north of Oklahoma City. The earthquake was recorded at a depth of about 3 miles (4.5 kilometers).

There are no reports of damage. Geologists say damage is unlikely in temblors below magnitude 4.0.
