ACT I Theatre will provide theater-goers with a lively evening of entertainment when the cast of "Dearly Beloved" takes the stage on May 9, 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Billed as "the Southern-fried wedding comedy that started it all," "Dearly Beloved" is another laugh-out-loud installment of life in Fayro, Texas, penned by the prolific writing team of Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.

The girls are back! Frankie, Honey Raye and Twink Futrelle are throwing a garish Gone with the Wind themed wedding for Frankie's daughter Tina Jo. The snooty mother-of-the-bride and the cantankerous wedding planner are eyeball deep in elaborate preparations and the rumor mill in the small Texas town of Fayro is working overtime. Frankie holds out hope that she can pull off one "final Futrelle occasion" with elegance, style and limited casualties.

"Watching this fast-paced comedy is like putting on your favorite shirt. The cast and theme will be comfortable and familiar to patrons who've seen the other Jones-Hope-Wooten comedies and it will be a delight for first time theater goers," said Director Thamazin Harrison. "As always, the Futrelle sisters know how to put the fun in dysfunction as they try to keep the already ill-fated wedding from veering further off-course."

The cast includes Ann Kline as Miss Geneva Musgrave, Joe Parsons as Raynerd Chisum, Mandi Schoenals as Tina Jo Dubberly and Gina Jo (G.J.) Dubberly, Trayce Quinlan as Honey Ray Futrelle, Alica Hall as Frankie Futrelle Dubberly, Steve Nutter as Dub Dubberly, Kathi Jenlink as Twink Futrelle, Michelle Penner as Nelda Lou Lightfoot and Patsy Price, Darrell Kline as John Curtis Buntner and newcomer, Gabe Vasquez as Justin Waverly.

"Dearly Beloved" is the first scheduled production of the 2019 ACT I season, and is supported in part by the Oklahoma Arts Council, which receives support from the State of Oklahoma and the National Endowment for the Arts. For reservations call 580-327-0622.
