SAU Softball enters NCAA postseason play ranked 18th in NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - With NCAA postseason play beginning on Thursday, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its final weekly Top 25 Coaches Poll of 2019 on Wednesday and entering its run in the Central Region Tournament ranked No. 18 in the country is the Southern Arkansas Muleriders.
SAU, regular season champions of the Great American Conference, is set for action in the Central Region I Tournament; arguably the toughest sub-regional in the country as NFCA No. 1 Central Oklahoma hosts the Muleriders, NFCA No. 12 Arkansas Tech and 2018 Central Region Super Region finalist Minnesota Duluth.
Behind the Bronchos in the rankings is Central Region 2 host Winona State at No. 6. Augustana checks in three spots back of Arkansas Tech at No. 15. SAU rounds out Central Region involvement in the rankings, while Missouri Western recieved nine votes.
