ACT I comedy this week postponed

Theatre people often wish each other, “Break a leg.” It’s meant as good luck. Longtime ACT I Theatre driving force Thamazin Harrison didn’t break a leg. Instead she broke an arm in a fall. And this happened just when ACT I was ready to perform their current production, “Dearly Beloved.”

Even worse, one of the actors has a child in the hospital. It just didn’t seem to be the right time to stage a southern-fried wedding comedy. After a lot of discussion, the cast and crew decided to call off the play, which was set for May 9-11 in Alva. They hope to present the production at a later date when everyone is healthy.
