'Death and Funeral Customs' for May NWOGS meeting

 


The May meeting of the Northwest Oklahoma Genealogy Society (NWOGS) will be held at the Alva Public Library on Saturday, May 11, at 10 a.m. The program will be “Death and Funeral Customs,” which will be presented by Marshall Funeral Home. Topics dealing with modern funeral traditions and customs in the United States are as follows: funeral etiquette, disposition of body options, religious rites, wakes, vigils, traditional funeral, alternative funerals, mourning, grieving, pallbearers, eulogies, processions, obituaries, music, flowers and establishing memories for the deceased.
