Dissatisfaction

 


Thinking about my Army experience, I recall that Bill Sperry and I worked out getting in shape for basic training.

I wish I were in that shape today, but age has taken its toll as walking replaces jogging and a good night’s sleep replaces a night on the town.

Ageing is a privilege not all my friends have experienced, so I am grateful for the years, but I’m aware that regret is the rule today. Dissatisfaction has become the norm in our society. My dad would say that “the grass seems greener on the other side of the fence.” That means that nothing, not even the good things of life, can fully sat...
