Girl Scouts take 'cookie trip'

Girl Scouts with the Alva Senior/Ambassador Troop No. 969 recently planned their "cookie trip" using the cookie proceeds they earned. The scouts decided they wanted to do fun things this year instead of taking a big trip. They decided to go to Oklahoma City for their adventure.

Due to the timing of this trip not everyone was able to attend.

The scouts first went to Dave and Busters for lunch and some fun playing games. They really got involved in a game of four-way air hockey. Watch out fingers, here comes the puck!

Then they traveled to The Escape near Bricktown for an hour being locked in a room. You follow the clues to try to get out of the room before your 60-minute time allotment is up. The troop was proud to escape with 15 minutes still remaining. The troop's particular room included a murder mystery, so then the scouts had to figure out who killed whom.

After going to the motel to change clothes, the Girl Scouts then went to Vast, the restaurant on top of the Devon Tower. Neither of these girls had been there before and really enjoyed dining in luxury and looking out over the Oklahoma City lights from 49 floors up.

After dinner, the scouts were not ready to turn in for the night yet so they decided to watch a movie. After much discussion, the group went to watch "Dumbo."

After a night of rest, the scouts traveled to Frontier City for a day of rides and excitement. Everyone definitely slept well that evening!

The next part of their trip will happen in about two weeks, when everyone will go to a murder mystery dinner in Guthrie.
