Man rescued from vehicle that plunges into Oklahoma River

 


OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Officials in Oklahoma City say a man has been rescued from a vehicle that plunged into the Oklahoma River.

Firefighters say a car veered off a roadway, plowed through a fence and drove into the river at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials say a woman who witnessed the crash jumped into the water and tried to free the driver as the car became partially submerged. The man was eventually freed by the fire department's dive team. Firefighters say no one else was in the vehicle.
