STELLA KERFOOT

 

The funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Stella Kerfoot, 96, of Enid will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday June 3, 2019, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clayton Stevicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born March 10, 1923, in Alva, Oklahoma, to John and Minnie (Rankin) Stone and passed from this life on May 29, 2019, in Enid, Oklahoma.

Stella was raised and educated in Alva. On December 30, 1949, she married Virgil Warren Kerfoot in Alva. The couple moved to Enid, Oklahoma, with their family in 1959. Stella worked as a matron for Enid Public Schools for nearly 20 years, and she retired in 1985. She was a member of the Hallmark Baptist Church of Enid. She enjoyed traveling and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

Stella is survived by her children, Kenneth Kerfoot and wife Sally (of Cherokee, Oklahoma), Marilyn E. Bull and husband Charles (of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma), Janice Goodwin and husband Art (of Hobe Sound, Florida), grandchildren John Kerfoot and wife Ashley (of Enid), Christy Tidwell and husband Scott (of Cherokee), Butch Goodwin (of Jacksonville, Florida), Lauren Cohen (of Stuart, Florida) and Sarah Wagoner (of Cherokee); great-grandchildren Sam Cohen and Alex Cohen (of Stuart, Florida), Clay Kerfoot and Noah Kerfoot (of Enid), Marliegh Tidwell (of Cherokee), Abby Goodwin and Avery Gurgone (of Jacksonville, Florida), Nik Wagoner (of Choctaw, Oklahoma), Luke Wagoner and Joe Wagoner (of Cherokee); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, husband, one brother, two sisters, two stepbrothers and two stepsisters.

Memorial in her name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
