Alva Church of God
Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Braudrick. Alva Church of God is located at 517 Ninth St. in Alva, and can be found on the web at http://www.AlvaChurchOfGod.org.
Sunday: Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship is at 10:30 a.m. Evening worship begins at 5:30 p.m. Young adults gather at 6:30 p.m.

Barnes Street Church of Christ

Bible Baptist Church
Sunday, June 16: Our Sunday School and Adult Bible Study Groups start at 10 a.m. There are three graded classes for children, a teen class and two adult Bible classes. Join us for a time of learning and fellowship. Our worship service begins at 11 a.m. Come and sing the great hymns of faith and hear a message focused on making the Bible applicable to your life today. Pastor's sermon series, “Sand and Stars – the Study of the Patriarchs,” continues today.
Junior and Teen Impact, our student ministry for fourth through 12th grades, meets at 5 p.m. Looking for a Sunday night service? We have one starting at 6 p.m. Wise Guys and Gals is on hold during the summer and will resume after Labor Day.
Tuesday, June 18: Celebrate Recovery meets on Tuesday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based recovery program to help provide a safe place to discover a Savior who can give freedom from hang-ups, hurts and habits. Everyone is invited to attend.
Wednesday, June 19: Our midweek prayer meeting and Bible study begins at 7 p.m.

Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Service times at Alva Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have changed: Sunday meetings will now be two hours instead of the previous three-hour block. The Alva Branch will now conduct services from 10 a.m. to noon each Sunday at the church building located at 1467 Thunderbird Rd., next to the Alva Recreation Center. Visitors are always welcome.
General authorities of the church at headquarters in Salt Lake City announced the change, effective in January, at the church's semi-annual General Conference in October. Leaders also announced a new program of home gospel study for individuals and families that correlates with the Sunday lessons.
The new two-hour block will consist of two meetings each week. Sacrament meeting (worship service) is scheduled 10-11 a.m. for all ages. The second hour will alternate between Sunday school for youth and adults on the first and third Sundays and Relief Society/Priesthood for adults and Young Men/Young Women for youth on the second and fourth Sundays. The branch president will determine the fifth Sunday curriculum. Children will attend Primary classes every Sunday for the second hour.
The curriculum for home study, Sunday school and Primary will center on the New Testament throughout the year with a theme of “Come Follow Me.” Anyone seeking more information can contact the Alva missionaries at 580-278-5592.
College Hill Church of Christ

eXtreme Youth Center
The eXtreme, located at 425 College Ave. in Alva, is a ministry of Hopeton Church. Students in sixth through 12th grade are invited to come hang out, play games, work on homework and enjoy time with friends after school from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The eXtreme is currently closed for the summer for renovations. First Baptist Church
Sunday: Sunday school for all ages at 9:15 a.m. is followed by morning worship at 10:30 a.m., for which nursery is provided. The choir will rehearse at 2 p.m.
Tuesday: At noon is a brown bag Bible study – bring your lunch.

Sunday, June 16: Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. (On Fifth Sundays, we have a breakfast here at the church during this time.) Worship begins at 10:30 a.m., as does Worship and Wonder for children over 4 years of age; nursery is provided for children under age 4.
The sermon, “It's The Influence of a Father,” will be based on Ephesians 6:1-4.

Donut and coffee fellowship is at 9:15 each Sunday morning, Bible study for ages 6 and up at 9:30, and worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available for children under age 6 during worship. Missions lessons for ages 6 through fifth grade are held the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

Zion Lutheran Church
