Community gardens growing

 

Barber County has two community gardens this summer. Both of these are available to anybody to harvest produce. In total, 5600 square feet have been dedicated to these gardens.

In Kiowa, the garden is in the second block south of Main Street on 9th. This lot is owned by Kiowa District Healthcare. Their board started the discussion about hosting a community garden and has donated the use of the land. The garden has already harvest 38 pounds of broccoli and cauliflower.
