Fundraiser dinner for Brad Amerin at the Runnymede Hotel

Brad and Kylea Amerin

The Northwestern Art Society and friends are hosting a fundraiser dinner on Friday, July 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Runnymede Hotel in Alva. Proceeds from the dinner will be donated to a young couple in Alva going through the fight of their lives. Brad Amerin was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. Since his diagnosis, Brad has undergone surgery to remove a tumor and begun chemotherapy in Oklahoma City.

Brad and his wife, Kylea, are facing a long journey ahead to get Brad well again. Medical expenses such as hospital stays, chemotherapy, doctor visits and travel are expensive, especially for a young family on a budget, and often require time off from work. This fundraiser dinner will help provide needed financial assistance with medical and other bills.

Everyone is invited to attend the dinner to help support the Amerins, who reside in Alva with their three dogs and cat. Brad and Kylea are active in our community and volunteer with organizations such as Creature Concerns and the Northwestern Art Society.

The menu will consist of your choice of Millionaire Spaghetti with meat sauce or baked chicken spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drinks all by donation. If you are unable to attend, donations are graciously accepted.

For questions or to make a donation, please contact Susan Holiday at 580-327-7878 or the Northwestern Art Society at 580-327-8577.
