Harvest Celebration and Concert at Cedar Grove Wesleyan this Sunday
July 12, 2019
Out among the rolling hills and red bluffs west of Alva, Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church is settled comfortably atop a hill surrounded by miles and miles of gorgeous countryside.
This Sunday, Cedar Grove's morning worship service (which begins at 11 a.m.) will feature The Archer Family Singers, a family of gospel singers and musicians, some of them young children.
After worship, everyone will head outside for a cookout, no doubt near the shaded pavilion with wide pastoral views. Pastor Nathan Hosier says people should feel free to bring a side dish to contribute to the spread.
Then, at 2 p.m., The Archer Family Singers will give a concert, with a line-up of gospel and wholesome family songs. A love offering will be collected during the concert for the singers.
To find Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church (35021 Major Road, Alva, OK 73717 for GPS users), go 7 miles west of Alva on U.S. Highway 64, turn north onto County Road 370, drive 10 miles to the S curve, take half of the S and go straight onto Major Road. The church is 2 miles west on Major Road.
