Witness says attack on black man by 2 white men unprovoked

SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) — A woman who says she saw two white men now charged with a hate crime beat a black man outside an Oklahoma music venue says the victim did nothing to provoke the attack.
Amelia Riggs Kelley of Ada said Thursday she witnessed the June 22 attack on 36-year-old Jarric DeShawn Carolina in the parking lot of the BrickHouse Saloon in Shawnee, about 35 miles (60 kilometers) east of Oklahoma City.
Kelly says she heard someone yelling before she saw "maybe the last one or two punches." Two white men then drove off in a pickup shouting "white power."
