•Mail absentee ballot deadline is Aug. 7

Sample ballots for the Aug. 13 bond proposition election are now available at the Woods County Election Board office in the Professional Building in Alva or online at the state election board website.

For this election, only registered voters in the city limit boundaries of Alva will be eligible to vote. The deadline to apply for mail absentee ballots is Aug. 7 at 5 p.m.

The wording of the proposition is as follows:
