Barber County Rodeo holds first Princess contest

 

Axi Payne is the Barber County Rodeo Princess.

The Barber County Rodeo at Hardtner Kansas held their first Princess and Junior Princess contest last weekend.

The 2019 BCRR Princess is Miss Axi Payne, daughter of Katelyn Parmelee. Axi is 12 years old going into the fifth grade. Her favorite color is teal and horse's name is Skelly. She enjoys riding horses with Andrew and Heather Leeper and would like say "thank you" for their time they spend with her. When she grows up, Axi wants to be a veterinarian.

Janda Goodno is the Barber County Rodeo Junior Princess.

The 2019 BCRR Junior Princess is Miss Janda Goodno. She is age 7 and the daughter of Justin and Janell Goodno of Kiowa. She is going into the second grade at South Barber and her favorite color is purple. Her horse's name is Cadillac and she likes to barrel race, goat tie and breakaway rope. When she grows up, Janda wants to be a nurse that takes care of babies.

Both the princess and junior princess received a crown, buckle from Maynard Buckles in New Mexico along with a sash made by Glenda Alexander of Hardtner, Kansas, and a bouquet of flowers from D & K Floral Designs of Medicine Lodge.

Junior Princess runners-up were first runner up Breckyn Hiltner and second runner up Braylee Waggoner.

Princess runners-up were first runner up Jancey Goodno, second runner up Adessa Prosser, third runner up Carlee McCracken and fourth runner up Angel Stewart.
