Hunter Jordan of Cherokee was awarded a $1,000 scholarship during the recent Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association (OCA) Convention and Trade Show. The CLA Alumni Scholarship is funded by donations from alumni of the Cattlemen's Leadership Academy program and administered by the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Foundation, a charitable arm of the OCA.

Jordan is a senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in animal science business.

"I hope to attain a deeper knowledge concerning animal nutrition needs and ways to improve crop yield through my college course work," Jordan said.
