At the Woods County commissioners' regular Monday morning meeting July 29, commissioners John Smiley and David Hamil approved action to let a short Christian film be shot here in Alva. The movie is called “Send Me Wings.”

The commissioners also approved a District 1 road crossing permit for Targa Pipeline.
