The conference room was full Monday morning at the Alfalfa County commissioners meeting. Jay Hague, Stan Tucker and Marvin Woodall (along with administrative assistant Nancy Lambert and county clerk Laneta Unruh), were joined by a gallery full of other county employees.

Court clerk Tami Miller, treasurer Valerie Vetter, assessor Jennifer Roach, emergency manager Shana Hague and Woodall's assistant, Jennifer Hensley, listened as officials went through their usual items of business, starting with the maintenance and operation warrants for payment.

After those were signed and approved, commissioners moved on to do more of the same for the monthly officer reports, appropriations, monthly highway expenditures and the allocation of alcohol beverage tax.

The next couple of agenda items – the resale property fund financial statement and lease purchase renewal letter from Security National Bank – were reviewed and approved before commissioners signed off on a service agreement with Dobson Technologies (the telecom company now used in most Alfalfa County courthouse offices after AT&T service was discontinued). That agreement allows Dobson to extend their services to the election board, fairgrounds and OSU Extension office.

Lastly, the three men reviewed the Alfalfa County Estimate of Needs (FY 2019-2020), ultimately approving it before calling the meeting to an end.
