None of the plans being considered for the Alva pool include any figures for repair and restoration of our existing historical Alva pool. As I understand it, a yes vote allows a committee to choose any design they want and the designs that have been presented are only ideas. It seems that going from a 15,000 sq. ft. facility (what we have now) to one half or less (as illustrated in proposed drawings) doesn’t make sense for our community.

The citizens of Alva deserve the facts. Give me the facts about a concrete plan and perhaps I’ll be in favor. I am not willing to sign a blank check.

Maybe we need to consider making an investment in our existing unique facility and preserve this historical treasure for us and for future generations.
