Kansas cancels grant for early literacy program in schools

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas has canceled a grant for an early literacy program for public school children after a previously unreleased audit found that the company administering the course received millions of dollars it wasn't entitled to during former Republican Gov. Sam Brownback's administration.
