WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU Athletic Department will hold their annual kickoff event for student-athletes, Bulldog Pride Night, on Tuesday, August 20th, at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center beginning at 6:00 pm.

Bulldog Pride Night is an annual event, hosted by the athletic department for the student-athletes at the beginning of the school year. Coaches and administrators speak on a variety of topics, with the end goal of improving the family aspect of the department and rallying the teams around each other.

"The energy and excitement level on campus is extremely high heading into this year and we look forward to kicking the year off right," SWOSU Athletic Director Todd Thurman said. "Bulldog Pride Night is a great opportunity for us to showcase our athletic programs and we would like to invite everybody to join us on Tuesday night!"

Students are encouraged to arrive early for the event, which will begin at 6:00 pm with a performance from the SWOSU Band. Various speakers, including head coaches Chet Pobolish (football), Kelsi Musick (women's basketball) and Brad Fleetwood (golf), will address the crowd while the SWOSU Band, Cheer & Pom teams will perform.
