Technology's future

The world’s population doubles every 40 years. While that happens, technology is catching up to biology with some surprising results.

DNA is the basis for life on Earth and as it makes copies of itself, there are occasional errors that result in improvements of the genome, while others die. This biological evolution has been very slow, but technology will allow us to increase the DNA complexity without waiting for change.

Genetic engineering of humans has been banned, but without a totalitarian world order, someone, somewhere is designing improved humans now.
