Woods County Free Fair has entertainment for all ages

August 23, 2019

There are many things to see and do at the Woods County Free Fair to be held at the Woods County Fairgrounds on Sept. 5–7. Activities scheduled will provide families and individuals in the area a wide array of great entertainment.

In the Women’s Building at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, the Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) groups will have a Chili Cook-Off. Everyone is invited to make a pot of their favorite chili recipe. Entries should be taken to the Women’s Building by 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

The “Death by Chocolate” contest will be decided by a panel of judges beginning Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. in the Women’s Building at the fairgrounds. Enter your favorite chocolate item – a cake, a pie, a dessert, cookies, brownies or anything you’d like to make using the best chocolate ingredients. Get creative.

Also on Friday, beginning at 7 pm, LIVE at the Woods County Fair, a free concert featuring Ragland and special guest Clay Davenport will perform.

Don’t forget to visit all the vendors in the Merchants Building. As always, there will be lots of free giveaways, interesting items for sale, and great information from our local businesses. Come early, enjoy the entire Woods County Free Fair and find your spot in the crowd.
