New regulations for medical marijuana program approved

The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) has received approval from Gov. Kevin Stitt on emergency rules that will update current regulations and establish new license categories in accordance with statutory modifications made during the 2019 legislative session. The authority will make available all new forms and applications on its website beginning Aug. 30. New emergency rules will be effective on Sept. 14.

For patients, the changes include the ability to obtain a medical marijuana recommendation from physicians licensed by and in good standing with the Oklahoma Podiatric Medical Exam...
