Kiowa's `third officer' Chad Hacker resigns, bond financing approved at special meeting

Kiowa's city council conducted a public budget hearing and a special meeting in under one hour last Thursday evening, Aug. 29. All members were present except Brian Hill, who was gone as he and his wife Tammy have a new baby boy named Wyatt. President Bill Watson called the meeting to order with councilmembers Russ Molz, Tom Wells, Brent Shaffer and R.L. Simpson. City Clerk Trish Brewer also sat at the table.

The council opened with the public budget hearing for the city's proposed 2020 budget. Total expenditures are $795,916.

The library's portion is $17,186.
