32-mile trail system planned for South Carolina county

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Plans for a trail system would connect 32 miles across upstate South Carolina, in what a health-promotion group is calling the Daniel Morgan Trail System.

The plan by Partners for Active Living will connect current trails throughout Spartanburg County, adding five major new trails, the Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports. The trail system would ultimately run from the Pacolet River to the Middle and North Tyger Rivers. It could be complete by 2021.
