Engineering firm gives airport cold shoulder

The Alva Regional Airport has benefited recently from federal grants by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). However, the FAA requires that bids be taken every five years from engineering firms. This assures the FAA that the airport is spending their grants wisely.

The Alva Airport Commission was happy with Garver Engineering, the firm they had been using. But they went through the bidding process, and CEC Engineering had the best bid. It was expected that Garver would turn over work and plans in progress to CEC. After all, the Alva airport paid for that work. It’s just good sportsmanshi...
