A Mooreland man was injured when the semi he was driving collided with a cow. The collision occurred at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 60, 4.1 miles east of Chester in Major County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, David Scott McIntosh, 49, of Mooreland, was driving a 2018 Kenworth westbound on US-60 when he encountered a cow standing in his lane on the highway. After striking the cow, the semi overturned and departed the roadway to the left, rolling one time. The tanker trailer rolled three-quarters times after separating. The semi came to rest in the south ditch.

McIntosh, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Fairview EMS to the Seiling Hospital where he was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, arms and leg injuries.
