Free open meetings, open records seminars set to begin next week

OKLAHOMA CITY – The bi-annual open meetings, open records seminars will kick-off the first of six statewide meetings next Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Autry Technology Center in Enid.
The seminars are free, open to the public and require no pre-registration. The meetings are a collaboration between the Attorney General’s Office, the Oklahoma Press Association and Freedom of Information Oklahoma.
The seminars will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
October 3 – Enid, Autry Technology Center, 1201 W. Willow
October 24 – Ardmore, Southern Oklahoma Technology Center, 2610 Sam Noble Parkway
November 14 – Tulsa, OSU - Tulsa, 700 N. Greenwood Ave.
November 21 – McAlester, Eastern Oklahoma State College, 1802 E. College Avenue
December 12 – Lawton, Great Plains Technology Center, 4500 SW Lee Blvd.
December 19 – Oklahoma City, Metro Tech Conference Center, 1900 Springlake Dr.
Continuing Education Credits Available
Attorneys who attend are eligible to receive continuing legal education credit hours.
Law enforcement officials are eligible to receive three continuing education credit hours from the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training.
School board members and superintendents are eligible to receive three continuing education credit hours from the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
Technology center board members can earn three continuing education credit hours from the State Department of Career and Technology Education.
