City of Norman continues support for renewable energy

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — The city of Norman is continuing to strive for a community with completely renewable energy.
The Norman Transcript reports the City Council passed a resolution on May 22, 2018, to transition to 100% clean energy in the form of wind, solar, energy efficiency measures and other renewable sources within the electricity sector by 2035 and all energy-use sectors, including heating and transportation, by 2050.
The Norman Ready for 100 policy committee has a timeline and set priorities for the upcoming year.
