Oklahoma AG warns topless bans still in effect after ruling

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter is warning Oklahomans that a recent federal court ruling in Colorado doesn't mean women may start going topless in public.

Hunter released a statement Monday following a recent 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision regarding public nudity. The federal court has jurisdiction over federal cases from Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming.

Hunter says the ruling was specific to a Colorado ordinance and doesn't immediately invalidate local and state laws in Oklahoma.
